12 Interceptors for French Navy

Ufast Shipyard has delivered the first in a series of 12 Camarc Designed 15m interceptors for the French Navy.

These boats will be operated by the French Navy’s Fusiliers Marins naval infantry force for missions that include escort, patrol, surveillance, and force protection day or night. The boats feature a composite hull and deck, an aluminium wheelhouse, a maximum speed of 40 knots, and can carry two crewmembers and eight additional personnel.

The vessels are equipped with ballistic protection and weapon stations at the bow and stern. The first built and three other sister boats will be stationed at the naval base in North-western France with initial operational capability scheduled to be achieved in 2024.
